Summer Opportunities!
Tikvah Fund Summer Program: Jewish Thought and Enduring Human Questions, July 31st to August 12th

This Summer Tikvah is sponsoring a two-week seminar in Jewish thought for undergraduate and early-stage graduate students.  The seminar will explore a range of seminal Jewish texts, both ancient and modern, and invite students to reflect on what the Jewish tradition might contribute to our understanding of the enduring questions of human life.  Students will explore a range of seminal Jewish texts, both ancient and modern, and be invited to reflect on what the Jewish tradition contributes to our understanding of the enduring questions of human life. There will be a three part unit on the Bible, a three part unit on universal themes (justice, beauty, hope) examined through a Jewish lens and a four part unit on questions with a particular resonance for Judaism (Written and Oral Torah, Reason and Revelation, Zionism, Atonement). All instruction will be based on reading primary source texts that the faculty choose.   All living expenses will be covered and students will receive a $1,000 stipend.
